Where has the energy gone to?
During the conversion from AC to DC, some electrical energy is lost. This energy is transformed into heat energy.
By increasing the efficiency:
1. Less noise from your cooling fan as your system temperature is lower.
2. Less air conditioning required.
3. Less electricity used (for the same amount of output you intake less electricity), thus less power needed for the power plant to burn the coal, therefore lower CO2 is produced.
