The four position slide is for altering the speed of the fan, and the LED's are to show which speed setting you are on.
From left to rightH = High (Red LED)M = Medium (Yellow LED)L = Low (Blue LED)A = Automatic (Green LED)
If you are uncertain which one to choose, please set it to Automatic.
